Britford is a village and civil parish beside the River Avon about 1.5 miles (2.4km) southeast of Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. The village is just off the A338 road.

Death of His Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.                                                                                                              Following the announcement of the death of His Royal Highness, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, the Parish Council joins the village of Britford in expressing our sincere condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family.

Further to the announcement made by the Government on January 4th 2021,  Britford Parish Council would like to offer any additional support to those vulnerable or self isolating residents during this current lockdown.  Reeves will not be doing a weekly delivery service this time, however they are offering a home delivery which can be accessed through their website: www.reevethebaker.co.uk.

 
Wiltshire Council's Wiltshire Wellbeing Hub remains in place for those people who may need additional support. Anyone can access the hub who may be struggling during this difficult time or don't have a support network around them, such as those who are self-isolating, or those who have been identified as clinically extremely vulnerable and asked to shield. People can call the hub on 0300 003 4576 or email: wellbeinghub@wiltshire.gov.uk.

The Police & Crime Commissioner, Town & Parish and Wiltshire Council Unitary elections will be held 6th May 2021. All elegiable residents will be invited to vote either in person or by post. Britford Parish Council has 7 vacancies, if you are intrested in this role please contact the clerk for futher information.                                                                                                          Notice of Annual General Meeting which will be held Thursday 20th May 2021 at 7pm. Britford Parish Council invites all residents to attend the meeting. If you wish to join the meeting please contact the clerk.                                                                                                                      The next Parish Council Meeting will take place on Thursday 20th May 2021 at 7.30pm after the AGM.                                                                                                                                           If you would like any issues raised at the meeting please contact the clerk by Thursday 13th May 2021.
